Foundation Support
Community SeniorServ has been fortunate to receive grants from both private and corporate foundations. Foundation grants generally support specific programs and services we offer our clients.
Corporate Support
Local corporations support Community SeniorServ in a number ways; some make financial contributions, while others make donations of in-kind products or services. Many companies encourage and support their employee's volunteer involvement in the community. Community SeniorServ has many volunteer opportunities, both on-going and one-time projects.
Special Events
Community SeniorServ is creating a signature special event that promises to be fun, create revenue and visibility for the organization. Volunteers are needed to serve on the planning committee. Look for this event to debut in May or June of 2008.
Beneficiary Events
Many corporations and organizations hold their own special events and designate non-profit organizations to be the beneficiary. Community SeniorServ has benefited from two beneficiary events in the past year, the Ingram Micro Golf Tournament and the First in Our Hearts Foundation Dinner and Auction. First in Our Hearts Foundation is the charitable arm of First Team Real Estate. Our thanks to our friends at Ingram Micro and First Team!
Legacy Giving Program
The Legacy Giving Program has been established for caring individuals who want to assure Community SeniorServ's long term sustainability. A legacy gift can be made through a number of planned giving opportunities including wills, insurance policies and charitable remainder trusts. Regardless of the size of the assets you might choose to donate, Community SeniorServ can help you make a planned gift that will touch the lives of thousands of vulnerable, older adults for generations to come.
Tribute and Memorial Gifts
A Tribute or Memorial Gift is a special way to celebrate occasions or remember a departed friend or loved one by making a contribution to Community SeniorServ. The recipient of your Tribute or Memorial Gift will receive an appropriate card indicating you have given your gift to Community SeniorServ in his and her name and you will receive a confirmation letter. Your gift amount is confidential and tax deductible.
Capital Campaign
Community SeniorServ is currently upgrading the equipment in our commercial kitchen. New equipment will expand our capacity and improve our efficiency to provide meals for fragile, low income, older adults residing in central, north and west Orange County. The new equipment will also allow us to increase our capacity for our social enterprise activities, preparing and processing food for commercial partners. Profits from these commercial activities are invested back into direct services for our clients which helps diversify our funding base.
A Gift of Goods or Services
Many friends of the organization donate goods or services that make a difference for the organization and our clients. Each department in the organization has developed a wish list of goods and services it needs. By donating goods or services, you can help Community SeniorServ reduce expenses and dedicate more funds to direct services.
