REGISTERED DIETICIAN - FULL TIME
CENTRAL KITCHEN IN ANAHEIM
The Registered Dietician develops meal plans and menu development. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the nutritional components of meals served to the elderly population to ensure compliance with Title III regulations. Ensures that personnel and facilities meet sanitation requirements. Responsible for writing and ensuring compliance to department and agency procedures and policies. Conducts internal audits and develops corrective action plans in accordance with policies. Provides nutritional education to employees and participants. Conducts educational training sessions for food services staff and participants. Responsible for HACCP audit preparation. Conducts on-going inspections of dining sites.
Bachelors degree and completion of a dietetics technician program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and current registration with this organization. 3 to 5 years experience as a Registered Dietician. Knowledge of HACCP audit criteria. Must be Serve Safe certified or obtain Serve Safe certification within 90 days of employment. Work with elderly preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds, pass background check and physical.
OUTREACH & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
FULL-TIME POSITION PLUS BENEFITS
The Outreach and Development Coordinator implements and manages the agency’s outreach programs to increase attendance at Adult Day Health Care and Adult Day Care Centers and increase the number of participants in the Meals on Wheels and Senior Lunch Programs. The Coordinator develops and conducts presentations to senior groups, community groups, and health and business groups. Has responsibility for all activities which support the agency’s fund raising programs which includes donation database tracking and reconciliation, solicitation and cultivation of individual donors and planning of special fundraising events.
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in business or three (3) years experience in developing and coordinating outreach activities. Must have excellent public speaking and interpersonal communication skills. Experience in fundraising and donation tracking and accounting desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Donor Perfect or equivalent fundraising tracking software applications. Must pass background check, have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Some local travel and week-end / evening work required.
SITE MANAGER (25 hours/week)
SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM
SOUTHWEST SENIOR CENTER (SANTA ANA)
This position manages the Congregate Lunch Program in Southwest Santa Ana. Responsibilities include meal preparation, administrative services, kitchen management, and supervising volunteers and support staff while meals are being served. The Site Manager initiates educational, social and entertainment programs at the dining site and works closely with seniors to ensure that the congregate lunch program meets the needs of the participants.
This position requires skills in food preparation, event planning and administration. Must have previous experience in handling and/or serving food. Management experience preferred. Serve Safe certificate required within 60 days of employment. Must pass a background check, a physical and be able to lift up to 45 pounds. Bi-Lingual Spanish a plus.
