VICE PRESIDENT OF ADVANCEMENT (DEVELOPMENT)
SeniorServ, a $13 million, leading nonprofit located in Anaheim, CA, is seeking an experienced and energetic Vice President of Advancement. Reporting to the CEO, and working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, funders, volunteers and staff, the Vice President of Advancement is responsible for the planning, implementation and success of the full scope of fund development for the organization, and overseeing corporate communications, marketing, outreach and volunteer services.
Overall responsibilities include: creating campaigns and programs to fund capital needs and program growth; building reserves through annual campaigns; cultivating and soliciting major gifts and planned gifts; growing direct mail; increasing the impact of special events; increasing foundation and corporate grants; and providing oversight of communications, marketing, public and community relations and volunteer services.
Direct reports include: Senior Director - Community Relations, Events & Outreach; Director - Volunteer Services; and consultants and interns for website design/support, grant writing, planned giving, direct mail, public relations, and communications.
• BA/BS degree in relevant field required; advanced degree desired.
• Ten or more years progessively responsible experience in fund development and communications.
• Proven track record of success in soliciting major gifts, administering a planned giving program and growing fundraising revenue and ROI.
• Success with donor cultivation and gift solicitation for corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, direct mail and individual giving.
• Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic and motivating personality. A people connector who enjoys networking and engaging people in causes.
Immediate Opening - 35 Hours per week with benefits
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing services to the Adult Day Health Care Center participants. Provides health education instruction to participants and families. Completes initial and continuing assessment and develops a written care plan. Administers medications and monitors self-administration of medications by participants. Acts as liaison to the participant's personal physician. Supervises LVN and program aides.
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with at least one year of nursing experience. Currently licensed and registered in California by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Experience working with the disabled and/or the elderly. Must pass a post-offer physical examination, including TB clearance; and bilingual Spanish a plus.
ON-CALL CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT
The Certified Nurse Assistant, under supervision of the RN, provides personal care of functionally impaired older adults, takes vitals, assists participants with lunch meals and occasionally assists with activities. Performs other duties as needed. Must have CNA certificate. One year experience working with the elderly preferred. Must pass post-offer physical and drug test, and obtain TB clearance. Must be able to lift 45 pounds.
