Serving food and conversation lifts senior's spirits

Ronald Malouf, 76, could no longer cook or shop after chemo caused congestive heart failure. He gets help from Community SeniorServ, one of the 2011 Season of Caring charities.Ronald Malouf eats every bite of the low-sodium food delivered to him five days a week, but what really nourishes him are the conversations served with every platter.

Malouf, 76, is among the 1,000 homebound seniors in Orange County who receive meals delivered by volunteers from Community SeniorServ, an Anaheim nonprofit.
