Anaheim, CA, May 3, 2010 – Don Lewis, president of the Board of Directors of Anaheim, California-based Community SeniorServ, the state’s largest safety net non-profit agency providing social, nutrition and health services to older adults and their families, has announced that Holly Hagler has been named chief executive officer.
“We are delighted to welcome Holly aboard and know that Community SeniorServ will flourish under her leadership,” said Lewis. Holly replaces former CEO Randy Platt, who had accepted a post late last year with a nationally recognized healthcare company.
Holly’s recent non-profit work includes serving as the founding president of the Drucker Society of Orange County and as an advisor to the Volunteer Center Orange County. Her other interests include Internet-based Jackstreet Media and BAM Radio Network, the largest online education radio network for educators and parents. Holly was previously chief of staff for the Crystal Cathedral Ministries, a major global media ministry. Prior to holding that post, she was a partner with a publicly traded international professional services firm.
She earned an MBA degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine.
Community SeniorServ is the result of the 2007 merger of the former Feedback Foundation and Senior Meals & Services, which were two of Orange County's most trusted and established older adult service organizations. The organization is an advocate and leader in providing critical services to help seniors remain independent in their own homes.
Designed to promote well being and independence, some of the services provided by the agency are partially funded through the Older Americans Act. Grants, individual donations, client contributions and fundraising activities are managed to maximize quality service to as many as possible.
The agency serves more than 5,000 meals every day—exceeding 1.3 million meals a year – to 1,100 homebound older adults and at 27 senior centers in central and north Orange County in the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Midway City, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Westminster and Yorba Linda. Professional case managers help more than 2,000 elders to locate and obtain services that help them remain independent at home. Community SeniorServ has an annual budget of more than $11 million.
