Board member Lynn Daucher, immediate past Director of the California Department of Aging, introduced Dr. Bell to Community SeniorServ. “I have known Dr. Bell for many years as a caring physician and visionary leader in health care in Southern California. His understanding of the issues facing older adults and persons with disabilities coupled with his relationships in the medical community will be a great asset to Community SeniorServ.”
“Dr. Bell is joining our board at an important time now that the first of Baby Boomers have reached age 65,” commented agency CEO Holly Hagler. “Over the next ten years, the boomers will form a ‘Silver Tsunami’ that will overwhelm traditional community resources, especially for lower income seniors. Dr. Bell will be a great resource as we continue to develop new, lower cost models to help older adults remain in the community as they age.”
