Judy Duffy Joins Community SeniorServ Board

Judy Duffy Joins Community SeniorServ Board of Directors Westminster resident, Judy Duffy, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of Community SeniorServ, a leading non-profit organization that provides programs and services for older adults in central and north Orange County.

Judy is President of Community SeniorServ’s Program Advisory Council. The Program Advisory Council is made up of representatives from each of the 27 senior centers where Community SeniorServ provides hot nutritious lunches every weekday. The council advises the organization on menu items and best practices.

“We are delighted to have such a dedicated volunteer like Judy Duffy join our Board of Directors” commented Jose Velasco, Board President, “Judy brings unique perspective to our board as both a participant and a volunteer.”

Judy volunteers at the Westminster Senior Center weekly helping to prepare and serve meals. Judy also supports Community SeniorServ’s fund raising activities. She is an active member of both the Celebrity Chef OC and Meals & More planning committee. Judy’s husband, Bill, is a volunteer Meals on Wheels driver in Westminster.

“I am delighted and honored to serve on Community SeniorServ’s Board of Directors,” said Judy, “I have seen firsthand the difference the agency is making in the lives older adults in Orange County. The meals are very important, but the programs and services are so much more than just the meal. They provide the care and support to make older adults feel needed and wanted.”

Community SeniorServ is the largest Meals on Wheels and senior nutrition provider in Orange County and the State of California. In addition to its nutrition programs Community SeniorServ also provides its participants with case management services and in-home supportive services as needed. Community SeniorServ also operates three Adult Day Care Centers in the county.
