Charity Poker Run Event 2009
POKER RUN TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY SENIORSERV AND ESTHER WOMENS HOME OF ORANGE COUNTY
A Charity Poker Run for motorcycle enthusiasts jokingly referred to as the Old Fogies vs the Young Bucks will be held on October 10, 2009 registration to begin at 9am at Community SeniorServ located at 1200 N. Knollwood Circle Anaheim, CA 92801.
This event is a new opportunity for both organizations to collaborate and bring the community together in a very unique way, including collaborations with the local police departments and Orange County Motorcycle Club Chapters.
The poker run will be just over 90 miles with stops at JDog Custom Cycles, Cooks Corner, OC Harley, House of Handle Bars, and Complete Motorcycle Solutions. As motorcycle riders arrive at each stop they will draw a card and their “tally” sheets will be stamped with card selected. At the end of the run the rider’s tally sheets will be turned in and the best poker hand wins a trophy for their outstanding luck! The ride will end at the Knott Church parking lot where many motorcycle games, vendors, food, DJ, a band and a bike show will take place.
Community SeniorServ is the largest provider of meals and support services to older adults in Orange County. More than 1,100 homebound clients are delivered three meals a day five days a week.
